iPhone 18 Cases — What We Know Is Coming (2026)

iPhone 18 Is Coming — Here's What We Know So Far

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 lineup in September 2026. The leaks have been loud, the renders have been wild, and every case brand on the planet is paying close attention. Here's what the rumor mill is saying — and what it means for your next case.

What the Leaks Are Pointing To

Based on analyst reports and supply chain leaks through mid-2026, here's what iPhone 18 is shaping up to be:

• Under-display Face ID — the notch and Dynamic Island era may finally be over, giving the iPhone a true full-screen front face
• Thinner chassis — rumored to continue the slim-down trend Apple started with the Air lineup, pushing toward the 6mm range
• Repositioned camera module — the camera bar from iPhone 17 is expected to evolve, potentially moving to a vertical pill layout on Pro models
• A20 chip — Apple's next-generation silicon, built on an advanced 2nm node
• Foldable iPhone 18 Fold? — a separate foldable model is rumored alongside the standard lineup, which would be Apple's first foldable device

Note: These are pre-release rumours. Apple has not officially confirmed any specs as of June 2026.

What This Means for Phone Cases

If the chassis gets thinner and the camera bar shifts, every existing case template needs to be rebuilt from scratch. This is exactly the kind of moment where generic brands drop the ball — they ship cases that technically "fit" but leave gaps around the camera or block the MagSafe ring.

SIMPLYMDRN builds from CAD specs as soon as engineering samples are available. We don't ship guesses. Every new iPhone model goes through a fit-and-function test before our cases go live.

MagSafe in iPhone 18

MagSafe is expected to get stronger magnets and possibly broader accessory support in iPhone 18. Our cases are already built for maximum MagSafe pass-through — that commitment carries forward to every new model we support.

The Foldable Question

If Apple releases a foldable iPhone 18 Fold, it represents an entirely new form factor. Slim cases as we know them don't apply the same way to folding devices. We're watching closely. If Apple ships a foldable, we'll be early with a solution that protects it without turning it into a brick.
